DUKE HEIGHTS BIA is an association of more than 2500 businesses located in the area between Keele Street and Dufferin Street and between Steeles and Sheppard Avenue West. The BIA strives to engage in and maintain sustainable development through its own programming and partnerships that protect and enhance the environment and well-being of the neighbourhood. Plant-Grow-Share a Row encourages gardeners to plant an extra row of veggies to donate to their local food bank, helping provide fresh, locally-grown produce to folks-in-need. SOUPALICIOUS was created as the program’s harvest celebration, helping local groups raise awareness and support for their food growing and sharing programs. Both programs are supported by The Compost Council of Canada, the national non-profit organization dedicated to advancing organics recycling and the return of organic matter back to our soils for ongoing health and vitality.
