Join Not Far From the Tree and Bike Brigade at Christie Pits Park, on June 14 from 1pm-4pm to celebrate the start of the fruit picking season and warm bike-riding weather!
The afternoon will include:
- Savoury pizza & sweet treats, prepared fresh in the park’s wood burning oven
- Fruit-themed block printing crafts (BYO t-shirt, tote bag, etc. to print on!)
- Community connection
Whether you are a friend of NFFTT (including Fruit Pickers, Pick Leaders, Tree Registrants), or member of the Bike Brigade community – everyone is welcome, including little ones! Here’s what we’re providing: pizza dough, pizza sauce, and cheese; mini tart dessert shells and whipped cream; bubbly water and lemon/lime juice!
Want to contribute to the feast? We welcome any contributions of pizza toppings (herbs, veggies, etc. – no meat please), leftover jams to make sweet baked tarts and mocktails, and whatever else you’d like to share!
Have an abundance of packaged food to share? Bring any non-expired, labeled, unopened food, and we’ll bring it to a Community Fridge Toronto location for you!
