Climate Investigation Cleanup: The Forever Fragment

When

June 7, 2026
10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Where

East Point Park
East Point Park Bird Sanctuary, Toronto, Ontario, M1E 3Z4

Event Type

Climate Investigators, this case is critical! The Forever Fragment – polystyrene foam – is infiltrating one of Toronto’s most important wildlife habitats. These criminals shatter into countless pieces, making complete cleanup impossible while disrupting the ecosystems that naturally fight climate change.

Join this 2-hour investigation at East Point Park Bird Sanctuary, an Environmentally Significant Area: 90 minutes protecting critical habitat through evidence collection (shoreline cleanup), plus 15 minutes analyzing how foam production connects to fossil fuels and ecosystem destruction. You’ll defend migratory bird habitat while learning about compostable alternatives.

No prior detective experience required! All investigation equipment will be provided. Perfect for first-time volunteers, families, students (community service hours available), and anyone seeking climate action with immediate, visible results.
