Climate Investigation Cleanup: The Caffeinated Culprit

Where

Cherry Beach
1 Cherry Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5A 3K8

Event Type

Climate Investigators, A Greener Future needed! We’re tracking a suspect that fuels Toronto every morning and pollutes our shoreline every afternoon: the Caffeinated Culprit. These disposable coffee cups are master criminals, disguising themselves as recyclable while hiding plastic linings that make recycling difficult..

Join our 2-hour investigation at Cherry Beach – 90 minutes collecting evidence (shoreline cleanup), followed by 15 minutes of analyzing the culprit’s fossil fuel origins and a 15-minute lifespan that creates 20+ years of pollution. You’ll make a real environmental impact while uncovering the climate conspiracy behind convenience culture.

No prior detective experience required! All investigation equipment will be provided. Perfect for first-time volunteers, families, students (community service hours available), and anyone seeking climate action with immediate, visible results.
