Citizen Bee Census - Lakeshore West Garden Tour

Join us at the Lakeshore West Garden Tour for a self-guided tour through the beautiful gardens of South Etobicoke.  Information about the tour is available at https://lakeshorewestgt.ca/index.html

We are inviting garden tour participants to become a Bee Observer:

As you wander the gardens, see if you can spot a bee and take a photo. Every observation counts.

Can you find:

□ A bee larger than a grape

□ A bee the size of a raisin

□ A bee the size of a grain of rice

□ A metallic green bee

□ A bee visiting a raspberry flower

□ A bee visiting a rose

□ A bee visiting clover

Today, we are not trying to become bee experts. We are simply learning to notice who shares the garden with us.

We have bee identification photo cards from the Métis Nation of Ontario available to help you match your visitor.

Drop in and see what all the buzz is about!

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We respectfully acknowledge this land and the history of the many Indigenous peoples who have lived here for millennia. The meeting place of Toronto - from the Kanienʼkéha (Mohawk) word Tkaronto - remains the home of many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island. We are grateful to be here together to share and to care for the land – Chi Miigwetch.
