The 15th annual EcoFair is a not-to-be-missed event that is free, informative, family-friendly, and filled with fun. Celebrate the people behind up to 50 environmentally-friendly businesses and organizations. Get informed and be inspired to make greener choices in your life, home, and community. Enjoy fun interactive activities for kids and adults alike, as well as good food.

GNN’s Plant-pull and Picnic

Join Green Neighbours Network and Toronto Nature Stewards for a fun afternoon at Cherry Beach on Friday, August 25th, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. We’ll have a plant ID workshop, help with sand dune stewardship, then enjoy a picnic and swim!

🔎Plant ID workshop: We’ll be using the apps iNaturalist and Seek to learn about plants!
🌾Invasive Plant-Pull: Help remove invasive phragmites to restore the beautiful natural ecosystem of Cherry Beach.
🏖Picnic and swim: Following the phragmites removal, we’ll celebrate our hard work with a picnic and swim!

Green Advocates in Every Riding

Guest speaker Joe Mihevc, a City of Toronto Councillor for 27 years, reveals just how important advocating for the environment can be in influencing political decisions. He provides practical advice on how you can build a positive and lasting relationship with your local politicians. And shows how that relationship can lead them to support the environmental issues that you care about. March 8 2022 at 7pm, online.
